Lesley & her business partner Jennifer (also her sister!) have opened up a beautiful store in Columbus, Ohio with a vision of creating a beautiful, inspiring space for brides-to-be. After Studying in NYC she settled in Columbus, which she now calls home. B. Loved Bridal has hosted Karen Willis Holmes Trunkshows in the past so we took a few moments to get to know the lady behind the store.

Your name? Lesley O’Reilly
Store name? B. Loved Bridal
Where is your store located? 36 W. Gay Street Columbus, OH 43215
Tell us a bit about yourself and how you started your store? Ever since I can remember I always imagined myself owning a boutique. It wasn’t until I graduated from college in NYC that I decided I was going to open a bridal boutique. After years of planning with my business partner and sister Jennifer, we opened B. Loved Bridal in early 2015. Columbus, OH has been so good to us. The city has supported us in ways that I would never have imagined. We are thankful to call Columbus home!
What does a typical day for you involve? I start off with a morning walk with my hubby and dog. I then head into the shop to get some dirty work done (not the fun stuff). That’s usually followed up with bridal appointments and then I normally close the day with a little social media.
Why do you love your job? I tell people all the time who ask, that the very worst day at my boutique is better than the best day at my old job. It doesn’t even compare! I love it!
What are your favourite KWH gowns and why? My favorite KWH gown is probably between the Wild Hearts 'Genevieve' lace overlay and the KWH by Karen Willis Holmes 'Agyness' gown.
What is it your clients love about a KWH gown and who do you see as the ‘KWH bride’? Brides love the effortless feeling of the KWH gowns. They have an organic feeling about them that makes them comfortable and easy. I see the KWH bride as someone who is stylish and fashion forward. They appreciate well-constructed garments and want to stay modern and on trend for their big day.
Any great proposal stories from clients you have worked with? I was able to be a part of a friend's proposal where the finance-to-be set up a styled bridal shoot for his girlfriend at The Joseph Hotel in downtown Columbus. She thought she was modeling a KWH dress just for me so I had pictures to use for social media. She had no idea that it was all so that her boyfriend could propose to her. It was beyond perfect!
What are your tips or advice for brides searching for their gown? I think I have the same tips that everyone else would say which is don’t bring a huge group with you when you go shopping. Just include a few people who’s opinions you respect. I also think that brides should come in with their hair done and some makeup on. It helps to envision what you’ll look like on your wedding day.
What is your coffee order? I’m a little strange and don't drink coffee. I’m a tea kind of girl and love Chai Tea Lattes
Favourite city? Vancouver
Best way to spend $50? Shopping for anything! It’s my therapy :)
Best advice you ever received? Don’t let fear stop you from doing what you love.
Anything else you would like to share with brides-to-be about your store and what you offer? When opening up B. Loved Bridal we really wanted to be able to give brides a warm and comfortable environment to shop in. There is never any pressure to buy. It’s a big decision and we want our brides to feel confident that they are making the right choice.
