SS'17 Haute Couture Shows Re-cap

The Spring Summer 2017 Haute Couture shows have just concluded- a showcase of the most intricate, ambitious and extravagant creations from the world's best fashion houses.  This is where craftsmanship and attention to detail is at its finest and where the fantasy of couture comes alive.

Chanel emphasised femininity, creating powerful silhouettes through strong shoulders, defined waists and full skirts in beaded embroidery and delicate laces.  Ellie Saab blew us away with his strategically designed beaded numbers, opting for long sleeves and sheer tulle elegantly grazing the floor.

Alberta Ferretti kept the mood dark and sombre, with the use of beading, feathers and strong punches of black whilst Givenchy also lead a collection that brought attention to structure, heavy beading, and feathers.

We have pulled together our highlights that resonated with us from the week, with the key messages lying in simplicity, feminity and subtle extravagance.
